With the implementation of the Regulatory Reform Fire Safety Order from 1st October 2006 it is the responsibility of the system user or appointed responsible persons to ensure the installed fire detection and alarm systems are maintained correctly.

To this end the Chief Fire Officers Association (CFOA) and British Fire Protection Systems Association (BFPSA) advise that companies with third party accreditation, such as British Approvals for Fire Equipment & Systems (BAFE), should be contracted.

BDS Fire and Security are third party accredited by The National Security Inspectorate (NSI) to BAFE SP203, for system design, installation, commissioning and service of fire systems.

We also have Security Systems Alarm & Inspection Board (SSAIB) accreditation for intruder system design, installation, commissioning and maintenance.

All BDS engineers and staff are security screened to BS7858 which includes CRB and Police checks in compliance with our security and quality accreditations.
